Jill White Takes Over at Northwest Fla. State College

Charlotte Crane | 7/1/2009

Jill White is serving as interim president of Northwest Florida State College, succeeding Bob Richburg. White is also a senior vice president and teaches in the business management degree program. The college’s board of trustees fired Richburg after a grand jury indicted him in connection with a $6-million state appropriation for a construction project. The building was purportedly for educational use but appeared to be a hangar for the jet business of indicted developer Jay Odom, a friend and political contributor to Rep. Ray Sansom. Sansom also has been indicted, charged with falsifying the state budget. He resigned earlier as House Speaker after it was reported he had accepted an unadvertised, $110,000 job at the college.
